Hollow cylinder YCH YCH-33/150 - Yale, double-acting, 700 bar from Yale

Basically, the applications are the same as for the singleacting hollow cylinders shown on the opposite page, but for this model range the return of the piston is done hydraulically by means of the second oil port. These double-acting hollow cylinders are used when the piston needs to be retracted quickly e.g. with high-cycle pulling applications.

Operating principle of hollow piston cylinders:
Hollow piston cylinders can generate very high tensile forces by means of a continuous threaded spindle, which can be used to pull out or pull in bearing bolts, shafts, axles, etc.
Hollow piston cylinders are also used for prestressing tie rods and in tensile test rigs. By using threaded spindles and adjusting the nut, it is also possible to pull over a long distance with short hollow piston cylinders.
