Crane suspension center

The crane suspension is usually top centered, optionally by crane eye, rings (for single or double hook), shackles (single or double) on a perforated rail or bolts (movable or rigid).

Crane suspension chain

Alternatively or in addition to the center crane mount, the lifting beam bar can be supplied with a matching 2-strand chain sling with shortening hooks.

Extension crane suspension

To extend the spreader beam for multi-crane operation, the following extension parts are available: rigid crane eye, suspension ring and bolt suspension.

Gripping width fixed or adjustable

The spreader beam is available with a fixed gripping width (rigidly mounted long hooks) or variable gripping width (long hooks with adjustable grid). Both hook types are interchangeable if required.

Individual hook dimensions

We manufacture long hooks according to your individual specifications (hook length and diameter of the receptacle) with mechanical securing for the load.

Extension load attachment

For extension with additional attachment points for the load or to mount guiding ropes, we offer the following components: weld-on hooks lengthwise, weld-on hooks sideways, shackles on perforated plate.

Forklift mounts

As required the lifting beam can be equipped with forklift mounts in one of 3 sizes (max. fork tine profile 150 x 80 mm, 210 x 120 mm, 300 x 200 mm).

The mounts have a horizontal locking device for the fork tines and a chain to secure the lifting beam to the fork.

Parking feet

The rigid feet are the simplest storage option and are fitted to the end of the traverse as an extension section.

The removable telescopic feet allow height adjustment and are available as a substructure or extension section.

Parking trestles

Our parking trestles (with or without castors) are not connected to the traverse and remain on the ground.

Parking trestles with shelf (with or without castors) enable space-saving storage of belts or extension parts.

Safety

Made in Germany - LOADLIMIT® lifting beams offer quality and safety and comply with current standards. The load beams have a high-quality finish and are painted with a robust 2-component varnish (RAL 1023 traffic yellow).

Scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes operating instructions, safety instructions, CE declaration of conformity and test protocols in digital version, as well as a printed quick reference guide. Our lifting beams are usually delivered by freight forwarding company.

Approval drawing / CAD data

After ordering, you will receive 2D release drawings as PDF, for checking and confirming the order. We do not publish 2D/3D CAD models of lifting beams in general.

Long hook lifting beam for the crane

The long hook lifting beam is used in various areas, e.g. for the transport of cable drums, paper rolls, foil rolls, sheet metal rolls or coils and machine parts with a spindle. With the help of the long hook lifting beam these loads are safely transported in the hall or loaded onto ship, train or truck. The crane suspension mounted centrally on the top of the beam or a chain sling is used for crane attachment. Additional crane attachments can be mounted at the end of the beam. The load is attached with the help of long hooks, designed exactly for the purpose. Operation can be mounted by only one person, as a mechanical safety device prevents the hook from slipping out when picking up or setting down the load.

Operation of the long hook lifting beam

The long-hook lifting beam is first attached to the crane with the upper crane mount. Then the beam is moved over the load so that the openings of the long hooks are located behind the spindle of the load. Now the lifting beam is hooked in and the load can be lifted.

Depending on the design, some very large loads are lifted with the long hook lifting beam. Therefore, it is essential to follow the operating instructions. Both the crane and the other slings must ensure the necessary load capacity!

To prevent the load from swinging, additional guide ropes can be attached to the optionally available weld-on hooks.
