Crane suspension

The crane suspension is usually top centered, optionally by crane eye, rings (for single or double hook), shackles (single or double) on a perforated rail or bolts (movable or rigid).

Chain suspension

Alternatively or in addition to the center crane mount, the lifting beam bar can be supplied with a matching 3-strand chain sling with shortening hooks.

Extensions crane suspension

To extend the spreader beam for multi-crane operation, the following extension parts are available: rigid crane eye, suspension ring with shackle on perforated plate.

Main load attachment (outer)

For primary load suspension, there is a choice between swivel hooks with fixed spacing, swivel hooks on adjustment brackets, swivel hooks and weld-on hooks on adjustment brackets and perforated rails with shackles

Load attachment center

An additional center hook can be added to the lifting beam, corresponding to your needs with 1/3 load capacity or with full load capacity.

Extensions load attachment

For extension with additional attachment points for the load or to mount guiding ropes, we offer the following components: weld-on hooks lengthwise, weld-on hooks sideways, shackles on perforated plate.

Parking feet

The rigid feet are the simplest storage option and are fitted to the end of the traverse as an extension section.

The removable telescopic feet allow height adjustment and are available as a substructure or extension section.

Parking trestles

Our parking trestles (with or without castors) are not connected to the traverse and remain on the ground.

Safety

Made in Germany - LOADLIMIT® lifting beams offer quality and safety and comply with current standards. The load beams have a high-quality finish and are painted with a robust 2-component varnish (RAL 1023 traffic yellow).

Scope of delivery

The scope of delivery includes operating instructions, safety instructions, CE declaration of conformity and test protocols in digital version, as well as a printed quick reference guide. Our lifting beams are usually delivered by freight forwarding company.

Approval drawing / CAD data

After ordering, you will receive 2D release drawings as PDF, for checking and confirming the order. We do not publish 2D/3D CAD models of lifting beams in general.

Star lifting beam for the crane

The star lifting beam is commonly used for lifting large loads by crane, allows even weight distribution and prevents load deformation. Depending on the configuration, different solutions for crane suspension are available - centered on the top of the beam or at the ends, as well as a 3-strand chain sling.We offer an extensive and proven standard program with different lifting capacities and working widths. On request, we also manufacture individual lifting beams with additional attachment points, reduced overall height or as galvanized star lifting beam.

Operation of the star lifting beam

The star lifting beam is attached to the crane using one of the existing crane suspensions. The load is then fixed to the load attachment points of the beam using suitable slings. A diagonal pull on the load hooks is permitted only to a limited extent. Depending on the design, sometimes very large loads are lifted with the star beam. Therefore, compliance with the operating instructions is essential. Both the crane and the other slings must ensure the necessary load capacity!
